Flexible sign shop workflow software that follows the sign.
SignBrain is designed to give sign companies structure where it protects the business and flexibility where the work demands it. Not every shop—or every project—should be forced through the same sequence.

Your shop. Your process. One connected system.
A five-person custom shop, a 100-person regional manufacturer, an install-only operation and a service department can all need different paths. SignBrain is designed around that reality.
Required
Protect critical controls such as customer approval, production release, safety checks or project closeout.
Optional
Skip steps that do not apply to the project, product or customer.
Parallel
Run permitting, engineering, procurement or customer decisions at the same time when appropriate.
Outsourced
Track externally performed work without pretending it happens inside your shop.
Approval-gated
Prevent downstream work until the right person or customer has authorized it.
Auto-triggered
Let a completed step create or activate the next required work instead of relying on memory.
One platform. Very different paths.
Small custom shop
Keep the process light. One person can own multiple roles without creating fake departmental handoffs.
Full-service manufacturer
Coordinate multiple departments and dependencies without losing the approved commercial scope.
Install-only company
Start where your responsibility starts. No estimating or fabrication stages are required if you do not own them.
Service operation
Reactive service work can use a fast dispatch workflow while still preserving photos, findings, approvals and billing readiness.
Digital sign provider
Track electrical, technology and commissioning work as part of the same operational context.
Multi-location program
Standardize what should be consistent while allowing each location to carry site-specific scope, status and exceptions.
One person or six departments—the model still works.
In a small shop, sales, estimating and PM may be the same person. In a larger operation they may be separate teams. SignBrain is designed around responsibilities and approvals, not arbitrary org-chart assumptions.
| Responsibility | Small shop example | Larger shop example |
|---|---|---|
| Opportunity | Owner / salesperson | Sales team |
| Pricing | Owner / estimator | Estimating department |
| Execution | Owner / PM | Project management |
| Buying | PM | Purchasing |
| Production readiness | Fabricator | Fabrication supervisor |
| Field completion | Installer | Install supervisor |
| Project closeout | Owner / PM | Project manager |
The system should know what the workflow is waiting for.
Instead of asking a PM to inspect every project manually, SignBrain is being designed to identify conditions such as missing customer decisions, delayed material, unresolved specifications, permit dependencies or incomplete field evidence.
Manage exceptions—not paperwork.
Workflow tells SignBrain what should happen. AI helps interpret what is happening. Together, they can make the next important issue easier to see.
Flexible workflow for sign companies.
Does every SignBrain project follow the same workflow?
No. SignBrain is designed so workflow can vary by project type, product type, company process and required approvals. A simple vinyl job should not need the same path as an engineered monument or a multi-location digital signage program.
Can workflow steps be optional, skipped or run in parallel?
Yes. Workflow steps can be designed as required, optional, parallel, skipped, outsourced, approval-gated or triggered by another event, depending on the company and type of work.
Can workflow vary by sign type?
Yes. Different sign products can require different surveys, engineering, permitting, purchasing, fabrication, quality, electrical and installation steps. SignBrain is designed to let the process reflect the actual product and project.
Can a small sign shop use the same workflow platform as a larger manufacturer?
Yes. Smaller shops can combine responsibilities under fewer people, while larger organizations can separate sales, estimating, project management, purchasing, production, installation and management roles without changing the underlying project relationships.
Can SignBrain support install-only, service or wholesale workflows?
Yes. SignBrain is designed to support multiple operating models, including full-service manufacturing, install-only work, service calls, digital signage, wholesale fabrication and multi-location programs.
How do approvals and gates work in the workflow?
The workflow architecture is designed so important events such as customer approval, permit approval, production release, installation readiness and completion review can act as gates before dependent work moves forward.
